On the set of TRUE BLOOD

I love my job. For the past few months I’ve been working on the set of True Blood, now in its final season on HBO. My job was to create the silver chain burns you see on the vampires after they have been captured.

I had the honor of working mostly with actress Kristin Bauer a.k.a Pam DeBeaufort on the show, who was genuinely one of the nicest most patient actresses I have worked with in my time. There were several different lay outs of the chain burns but mostly they wrapped around her neck and wrists. I worked closely with MastersFX and used custom sculpted bondo transfers, from their shop, for the silver chain burns the Vampires receive. The chains subdue them and burn the skin of the Vampires.

If you watch the show, you know Kristen is great playing the vampire, Pam Ravenscroft a.k.a. Pamela Swynford De Beaufort, a 200 year old vixen who owns a vampire bar called Fangtasia. Tune into the final season of True Blood to see my effects makeup come to life!
