In this fun, hands-on workshop taught by George Troester students will learn basic life-casting, silicone casting, silicone fabrication, and silicone painting. At the end of the course students will leave with a silicone, painted prop of whatever they choose to cast, examples; hand, arm, face, foot, leg, fingers, even a pregnant belly could be turned into a mold/prop!
Lifecasting in Alja-Safe- George will first demonstrate life-casts on a hand, foot, and face. The class will then make a small alginate mold of their own.
Mixing and casting Dragon Skin FX-Pro- George will then demonstrate a high pour and a brush up with Thi-Vex as well as color theory with Fuse-FX pigments. Students will mix a flesh tone and either brush or pour their silicone.
Silicone Fabrication- Students will then learn how to fabricate wounds and textures.
Silicone Painting – George will teach the students easy ways to paint flesh tones with Psycho Paint and Silc Pig and how to appropriately matte and gloss the finished prop for a realistic, flawless finish.
